Wendy Cavett
Even with all that experience…
I often found myself feeling like an imposter —
but One Voice truly changed everything for me.
What people are saying…
“Wendy Bobbitt sees each singer’s artistry not as a thing to correct, but as a whole self to honor; through their identity, essence, voice, and craft. She is direct and bright, and her belief in the work is fiercely contagious…she consistently gave me the space to grow in the ways I needed to and celebrated that blossoming of self and artistry along with me. Working with her isn’t just about growing as a performer—it’s equally about growing as a person and feeling truly seen and supported along the way.”
“Working with Wendy has been pure joy—because Wendy just gets it…our first coaching session, my vocal tricks that I hid behind were immediately called out. Wendy encourages you to explore the aspects of performance that’s scared you—finding meaning in the music and telling a story that’s authentic.”
“I’ve worked with a lot of music directors and Wendy tops that list. She’s an utterly gifted, patient and kind captain, all while keeping the room ever joyful. Sincerely, she’s the best.”
My Story
For many years, I’ve had the joy of working with incredible singers and teaching style and repertoire to countless younger performers. I’ve teamed up with some amazing directors, composers, and arrangers in the musical theatre world. But even with all that experience, I often found myself feeling a bit unsure. I worried that I wasn’t able to guide actors from point A to B in both artistic AND vocally technical matters. It sometimes felt like I was just guessing at what they needed, which left me feeling like an imposter.
What I really wanted was the knowledge and skills to dig deep into both the vocal and artistic journeys of my singers, to empower them to become their own voice experts, knowing how to produce the sounds they wanted when they needed them, instead of just relying on a fabulous teacher and hoping to repeat that magic later on.
Then I discovered One Voice, and it truly changed everything for me. The clear, actionable tools I found have completely transformed my approach, and I believe they can do the same for you!
