My Story
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember! Music has always been at the center of my life - from my very first voice lessons in high school to becoming a singing waitress, to eventually pursuing a degree in classical vocal performance.
It was during college that I discovered my love for teaching voice. I wanted to be the most knowledgeable, effective, and well-rounded coach I could be, so after earning my bachelor’s degree, I went on to complete a master’s program where I tailored my studies to focus on vocal pedagogy. For my master’s project, I explored the differences between musical theater belting and classical singing — a topic that deepened my understanding of how unique and versatile the voice truly is.
After graduating, I spent over 10 years teaching at a premier performing arts high school while also performing professionally — something I’ve been doing for more than 15 years. But even with all of that experience, I eventually hit a wall. I felt overwhelmed by the countless pedagogical approaches and concepts I had learned over the years, yet I still struggled to find a clear, efficient way to teach singers of all styles. Classical technique didn’t always fit, and I wanted tools that truly worked across genres.
That’s when I discovered One Voice — and it changed everything.
One Voice gave me the language, concepts, and tools I had been searching for. It provided clarity where there used to be confusion and results where there used to be frustration. It has transformed me as a performer, as a teacher, and as a person. Now, I have the confidence and understanding to help singers of any style find freedom in their voices, build their confidence, and truly understand how their instrument works.

Credentials
With over 15 years of professional teaching experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to every lesson and coaching session. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance, giving me both the academic foundation and hands-on expertise to help singers reach their fullest potential.
I am currently the Vocal Coach and Director of Musical Theater at the North East School of the Arts (NESA) — one of the top performing arts preparatory high schools in the country. During my time at NESA, I’ve had the privilege of working with some truly incredible young artists:
My students have performed on Broadway, appeared in TV and film, and consistently earned recognition at prestigious events such as the High School Musical Theater Awards and The Jimmy Awards — including one student who won the Jimmy Award.
Previously, I served on the voice faculty at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where I taught in the Jazz and Musical Theater Vocal Ensemble and maintained a thriving private voice studio.
As a vocal director, I’ve led the music for over 30 full-scale musicals and 20 showcases, helping students bring complex productions to life with professional-level performance standards.
Outside of teaching, I’m also a singer-songwriter and recently released my first single, “Hard to Love”. I’m an active performer and member of a gigging band, sharing my love of live music with audiences around town.
